There’s no more important farm region in America than the San Joaquin Valley. It’s also my home, and I’m excited to take on greater responsibilities to help agriculture succeed.
I’m excited for the new opportunity to work with one of our largest ag retailers, Mid Valley Ag Services. They have seven locations and a nearly 40-year history of helping growers in the Northern San Joaquin Valley. Working with Mid Valley is a great opportunity for me to grow as an agronomist, and to have a positive impact through our proven Redox Bio-Nutrients line of products.
Growers have much on their minds these days. While we hope for a wet winter, the statewide drought continues. The parched land contributes to numerous challenges to grow crops, including salt buildup in soils and abiotic stress. In addition, higher input costs and volatile markets show no sign of letting up.
Ultimately, we’re trying to do what’s best for our growers, and that’s controlling cost. We will be more budget-minded if that’s what we have do. We’re just going to strategize to determine what works best with our growers, to be economical and profitable at the end of the day.
I’ve grown up in agriculture. Being around it my whole life is second nature to me. I understand the responsibilities of helping this industry because I grew up doing similar things. I’m excited to take my career to the next level, and, in turn, help this region continue to be a world leader in growing food.
